Yukio Yamai was an avid mountaineer, and the sense of accomplishment and breathtaking scenery he experienced after climbing Mount Myoko deeply moved him.
- Due to a lack of suitable climbing gear in the Japanese market, Yukio Yamai had to rely on expensive imports. Unable to find the ideal equipment, he took matters into his own hands and designed his own pitons and crampons, which were crafted by a blacksmith. Through continuous testing and improvement, he achieved satisfactory results.
- Yukio's climbing equipment quickly gained high praise in the market and became a commercial product. Snow Peak continues to embody this spirit, constantly innovating and improving, carrying forward their entrepreneurial legacy.。
